How We Review Casinos

Every ranked casino goes through the same checks. Here's what they are, how much each one counts and what happens when a site fails.

The score, in one table

Payments35%Interac deposit time, withdrawal time to a Canadian bank, limits, fees, whether the payout goes back the same way
Bonus terms25%Wagering, max bet, excluded payment methods, game weighting, expiry
Licence and safety20%Licence number checked on the regulator's register, operating company, KYC process

Payments carry the most weight because that's what this site is about. A casino with an average lobby and a clean, fast Interac payout will outrank a flashy one that holds withdrawals.

Deposits and withdrawals

We deposit with the method the page is about, usually C$20 to C$50, and time how long the balance takes to update. Then we request a withdrawal straight away, before any bonus, so the result reflects the cashier and not a wagering lock. The clock stops when the money is in a Canadian bank account, not when the casino marks the request “approved”.

Where we can't run a live test (some brands block our location), we say so on the page and fall back to the casino's own published cashier or banking page, with the date we saw it.

Licences

A logo in the footer proves nothing. We copy the licence number into the regulator's public register: iGaming Ontario/AGCO for Ontario-facing brands, the MGA, Kahnawake or Curaçao for the rest. If the number doesn't match the company name in the casino's terms, the site is out.

Bonus terms

We read the full terms, not the banner. The lines that matter most for payment pages are the excluded deposit methods and the maximum bet while wagering. Both get quoted in reviews when they're unusual.

Screenshots and dates

Screenshots on this site are taken by us, cropped and marked in orange so you can see which row we mean. Each one carries the date it was taken. Archived pages are labelled as archived copies.

Getting dropped

A casino leaves the ranking if its licence lapses, if the payment method a page is about disappears from the cashier, or if we can confirm a pattern of unpaid withdrawals. It doesn't come back until it passes the full set of checks again.
