Melissa Nicholls Research Assistant University of Toronto

Melissa Nicholls is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto studying Equity Studies, Indigenous Studies and Creative Expression and Society. She is working this summer as a Research Assistant to create a Knowledge Mobilization strategy for the GMC project. This project is in-line with Melissa’s personal interest in the use of storytelling as an alternative method of communication within the academy. She is excited to learn more about the intersections of gender, migration and care this summer at the Centre for Global Social Policy, and is especially interested in exploring the marriage of research and policymaking as a meaningful medium for social justice.
