Inggrid Wibowo Research Assistant University of Toronto

Inggrid recently completed the University of Toronto’s undergraduate programs in Diaspora and Transnational Studies, Equity Studies, and Art History, graduating in 2016 with High Distinction. Her interdisciplinary studies have fostered a fascination with, broadly speaking, transnational cultural flows in an increasingly globalized world, especially as they transform and are informed by the Asia-Pacific. The bulk of her research has focused on Indonesia, with particular attention to religious and ethnic conflict; (re-)constructions of national memory through state narratives; and how ideas of nationhood and citizenship are continually re-configured within the nation’s ethnic Chinese community.
